Calligraphy & Lettering

I’ve got a quick video and post for you today with some real-time lettering of common greeting card sentiments (Happy Birthday, Congratulations, Get Well Soon, Thank You) that you can totally copy and snag for your own.

Since I’m lettering in real-time for you, be sure to check out the full video!

First Things First…

The links below may be affiliate links where appropriate. This means that your purchase through these links may result in a few cents in payment to me, to support creating further resources like this one! That being said, I will never suggest supplies that I do not personally use and fully recommend.

Supplies Used

  • Rhodia Paper
  • Tombow Fudenosuke Brush Pen
  • Free Traceable

Rather watch than read? Check out the video by clicking the video below!

What you need to know…

This post is meant to be quick and easy, but there are a couple things I want you to know before hopping into the real-time lettering.

Thing 1: Be sure you know the basics of calligraphy if you’re unsure of what I’m doing!

If you’ve never done calligraphy before and watched this video thinking “Oh I can just copy what she’s doing, no problem”… you’ll likely end up frustrating yourself. Going from zero to tracing is missing like 100 steps.

In my video above, I don’t show any basics of HOW I’m doing the calligraphy I’m doing, but I do have a free course that does that.

Find it at showmeyourdrills.com if you wanna learn calligraphy from the ground up and be able to write things like this yourself.

Thing 2: I made a free traceable download for you!

You can totally freehand these phrases on your own, but if you’d rather have a traceable worksheet, keep scrolling!

That’s a wrap!

Hope you enjoyed that real-time lettering!

And if you wanna snag the traceable version of this, complete the form below!

And finally, your dad joke…

Want to hear a joke about construction?
I’m still working on it…

Thank you! This will help so much!

  2. Judy says:

Thanks for all you’ve taught me. I love adding calligraphy to my painted cards but I do struggle with doing the verse inside the card because you have to do the calligraphy so small. Do you have any tips or maybe a smaller tip pen suggestion? Thanks Becca!

  3. Tana says:

    Thank you!
I am anxious to get started!

Love your calligraphy demos. They are so beautiful and fun to do.

Tell me what you thought!
