Happy Holidays! As you know, I love making handmade gifts during the holidays. I also love DIYing wrapping paper and gift bags. This year, I designed some adorable gingerbread house gift bags and wanted to share the tutorial with you!

That being said, I will never suggest supplies that I do not personally use and fully recommend.

What you need to know…
For these gift tags, I used white round tags. You can use square, rectangle, craft paper, black—whatever you want — but I used round white tags for this tutorial. I also used two Micron Pens (sizes 01 and 05) – that’s it!
I definitely recommend watching the full tutorial for this. I’ll share the highlights below though!
Tag Design #1: Evergreen sprigs.
Start with a curved line, and then add little branches to it. From there, you’ll all little sprigs/needles off of each branch. They don’t need to be perfect – they can overlap, be angled differently, etc. Keep it simple! Add a name in the blank area, and you’re all set!

Tag Design #2: Wreath
Start with a full circle (try to be consistent in spacing from the edge). Then start adding different elements to make your wreath – sprigs, leaves, berries. It can be as full or sparse as you’d like. Again, add a name in the center, and your tag is done!

Tag Design #3: Tree line
Start with some straight lines at the bottom of your tag at different heights. These are going to turn into trees, so add sprigs and fill out the trees. Then add your stipple effect. Stipple really tightly at the bottom to look like a snowbank, and then gradually have it get lighter and lighter as it moves up. Add the recipient’s name, and you’re good to go.

Bonus Design: Colour Options
I prefer to keep all of my tags in black and white (or kraft brown), so they match all varieties of gift bags and wrapping paper. You can definitely add colour though if you prefer!

That’s a Wrap!
