Quick and Easy Teacher Thank You Cards

I get asked allllll the time for card tutorial videos.

This tutorial is for a simple thank you card for teachers.

It might *look* complicated, but I promise you, it isn’t.

Ecoline Liquid Watercolour Paints
Watercolour Paper
Watercolour Brush
Palette
Washi Tape
Jar of Water
Craft Knife
Tombow Fudenosuke (hard tip)
Micron Pens
Optional: Laser level

What you need to know…

Gather up your supplies before you get started.

I used watercolour paint, but you could also do this same idea with markers!

Let’s Get Started!

Like I mentioned, this might look complicated, but it’s easier than you think.

Step #1: Tape down your card

Step #2: Start painting apples!

Step #3: Peel off the tape after the paint has dried.

Optional Step: Cut off blank margins.

You don’t have to do this, but I prefer for my watercolour to start at the very edge of the paper. I cut off the margins (from taping it down) to get this effect.

Step #4: Draw offset outline.

Feel free to pick the design that you prefer here. Offset outline, crisp outline, no outline at all. Up to you!

Optional Step: Fold your card!

Again, pick the design that works for you. I wanted a simple, bifold, nearly square card. But you could make tags, more narrow cards, etc.

Step #5: Write something cute!

Optional Step: Add the teacher’s name to the front.

You could definitely add the teacher’s name inside one of the apples on the front. That would be super cute and a fun customization. Totally optional though!
