If you’re in the brush lettering and calligraphy world, I’m sure you’ve heard of Karin markers.

I decided to film a video testing out and showing the difference between aaaaallllll the different types of Karin markers, so you don’t have to!

I’ll give a summary of the kinds of Karin markers I tested and the types of tests I completed below, but I definitely recommend checking out the full video to get the best understanding of my results.

What you need to know…

There are several variations of Karin markers, and I tested them all!

  1. Brushmarker Pro
  2. Realbrush Pro
  3. Pigment Decobrush
  4. Pigment Realbrush
  5. Metallic Decobrush
  6. Metallic Realbrush

My preferred testing methods…

I tested all six types of Karin markers writing in calligraphy, blending with the markers themselves, blending using water and a watercolour paintbrush, writing on black paper, and writing on glass.

That’s a wrap!

Check out the full video to find out my thoughts as well as my recommendations on which pens to use for specific projects!

In the meantime, are there other brands you’d like me to review for you? Let me know in the comments!

And finally, your dad joke…

I told a bad chemistry joke once.
I got no reaction.
